What happens during hyperbaric oxygen therapy?

After ensuring you’re medically fit for the therapy, Dr. Deol has you climb inside the oxygen chamber and get comfortable. While you rest, the oxygen is piped into the chamber as the pressure inside gradually increases.

During the hour-long treatment, you can rest or read while you breathe normally. You may notice pressure in your ears as the atmosphere in the chamber changes, just like in an airplane. You can chew gum, swallow, or yawn to pop your ears.

During the last 10-15 minutes of the treatment, the pressure gradually returns to normal. Then, your provider retrieves you from the chamber.

You may not realize you have a condition that might benefit from hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Schedule a consultation with Dr. Deol online or over the phone to go over your options.
